Considering the price, this is a good buy. This is a very simple light. Simple on/off switch integrated in the base. The magnetic base is strong enough to keep it in place fairly well. I don't know how it will perform under strong vibrations or on a smooth surface. The neck isn't very long, but once adjusted, it holds its position and delivers good light over a reasonable area. I use it next to my toolbox so it will work fine for my purposes. I haven't found anything I liked significantly more without spending exponentially more. So when it dies
