The instructions are pretty bad. It took several readings to figure out that each piece you take out of the box is TWO pieces that you separate from each other. Once I understood that, I got to work. I used to use ready-made and legal eyebrow wax. It gave me a terrible rash and didn't quite work (he had thick hair but no new growth, that's the point). It took a week for my skin to go back to normal. Wouldn't advise.
