So I had to clone my laptop's SSD as I was running out of storage space, so I upgraded from 250GB to 500GB. The problem I had was that my currently available tool didn't allow me to work with mSATA drives. So I had to look for something to add to my tricks kit. So I found this and with good reviews --- bought it. I finally managed to clone my drive and everything is working great so far. I've used Macrium Reflect for disk cloning and they work very well together (I've used this software on another system before. It works fine for me). My only complaint is that I had to use a rubber band to hold the drive in the adapter since I didn't have to screw it in and it was at a 45 degree angle. I wish it would sit flat on its own, but considering it's used as a tool, a rubber band works great. As I was writing this, I remembered that I got a thumbscrew from a drone camera mount that I have as extra parts. I'll have to see if the threads are the same size. From memory I think they are, and if so. even better, otherwise the rubber band is my solution. So there is nothing more to say, except that my Samsung mSATA SSD fitted perfectly into the slot and everything worked right away without any extra work. I recommend it as a disk cloning tool.
