A few weeks ago I slipped on ice and fell squarely on my right sciatic nerve. I used to have occasional sciatica, but it was absolutely unbearable. The day before I got this, I couldn't walk less than three blocks from my work to my house without wanting to cry. The pain didn't completely go away, of course, but it got MUCH better than it was. It took a little trial and error to figure out the best position and harness/thigh tension, but once I did that everything else fell into place. I wear a skirt suit to work, and it's light enough to be invisible under my clothes but strong enough that I don't feel like falling again just walking through my hotel lobby.
