I once bought a deck of really cool looking black playing cards and while they seemed like a good idea in theory they were useless in practice - I brought them to play with my brother and And playing rummy couldn't see who was playing what or what was in the deck. About a year later I came across these giant playing cards and bought them to bring to my brother's house for fun. He noticed the deck as soon as I got out of the car and I was parked on the street *in front* of his house! They are ridiculously big! If you take an 8x11 sheet of paper, they will be slightly larger. The thickness is the same as ordinary playing cards: nice and thick. My hands are too small to hold them all at once; Let's say if I wanted to put together a big bunch of rummy I could never organize them, but they're still a lot of fun.
