We gave up on our 10 year old camper pump. I chose this model - higher pressure, excellent reputation. The installation process was relatively easy. If you are replacing a 7 amp pump, you must also purchase the appropriate 10 amp Intellitec control module. This delayed the installation process waiting for it to arrive. The new pump was heavier and slightly larger than the old one, but easily fit in a large compartment. The screw on the fittings I needed was in the package. Everything needed was hand tightened as instructed. A NOTICE. The pump rating is listed as 12 gauge wire. I had to switch to a smaller wire to match the current draw of the new pump. When in doubt, check the cable size to determine if you need a larger cable for your installation. Took me 3 hours total to install, removing the old pump was more difficult than installing a new one as the screw heads were rusted and required some force to remove. The pump is self-priming and works great. Take your time, follow the instructions (I know the concept) and you'll be fine. Then make sure to do the filter screen maintenance according to the instructions to keep the pump running well.
