Review on Ultimate Comfort: Unveiling the New Balance Men's 680v6 Cushioning Running Shoe by Harry Tulsa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These aren't running shoes.

I agree with other reviewers who have commented that this is not a real 'run'. It's incredibly light, which is nice, but it sacrifices cushioning and stability. Have been using the 940V series for years but wanted to try the cheaper ones. You get what you pay for. The shoe size is really small as others have commented and I had to return my first order 11.5 4E for 12 2E. I am a low mileage, 10 mile per week, 67 year old runner. 680 wore out quickly in 4 weeks. Maybe good for short interval training, but not for long distance training. I no longer have to walk in these shoes, I will wear them every day. FYI: I was later informed of New Balance's digital codes for their shoes. The first number represents the depreciation: ie 940 is more than 680. (I find the 1040s have the most damping). The next 2 numbers represent stability, but in reverse order: 40 has more stability than 80. (Ask New Balance about this system.) My knees and feet need 940 or better.
