About a year after I started using this printer, the greenhouse broke down. If you have an older printer, check the connections to make sure they aren't getting hot. The good news is that you can get a replacement from Longer and this replacement is much more reliable than the original. In fact, the build quality of the Longer is superior to many other printers. Before you buy an ender, look at the pictures of the motherboard and look at the wire gauge and connector type. There are pictures of my failed plug and longer replacement. Another piece of good news is that Longer now has a warehouse in the US. My new mainboard was delivered nationwide in 3 days. If you are planning to buy a 3D printer, it is important that it works. Not only is this printer easy to upgrade with parts you can print yourself, you get quality support and parts from the manufacturer. Instead of replacing printer models, they simply improve the ones they produce. A year after I bought it, I have a much better printer than the one I started with! --- Initial Review -- All in all, this is a really great printer to start with. It's straight out of the box and easy to assemble for your home printer. You still have to assemble it, but this is great because it gives you ownership of this cool new device. There is a very simple step-by-step video on YouTube that shows you how to assemble everything with ease. The site also offers support if you encounter any difficulties. Once you've assembled it, you can start printing with it right away. It works right out of the box. However, what I love most about this printer is that there are so many easy upgrades you can do yourself. There are many parts on Thingiverse that can be used to make the legs a little quieter, new fan ducts, bed adjustment knobs, etc. You can see links to these and other reviews here or online. Just a little electronics experience and a few basic tools and you can upgrade this printer to a top-of-the-line printer. The build volume is very good. The bed warms up quickly and evenly. The print head heats up quickly and the temperature remains very stable during printing. I mainly printed with PLA, which is a bioplastic and relatively easy to process. I've also used TPU to print flexible parts and shapes. This is a great model for the price.
