I bought this toy for my grandson's 1st birthday after being unable to reach his father. play with it daily. I finally gave in and gave it to my granddaughter, she started banging it, singing into it and playing with it for the little ones for almost an hour. The look of surprise on her face as he made the sound of an engine was the best! She plays with it every day since I gave it to her. One of the things I love about this play center is that despite all the action, it only has 2 detachable parts, a small phone and a hammer. You can still do all the actions when those pieces are missing, but so far she's put them back in place every time. One thing I would like to warn parents and guardians about is that the head of the hammer does not have pads or pads like most toddler hammers. My head was in the way when the hammer was down and my spot still hurts. My granddaughter has been knocking on this toy for the past week and there is still no mark on it. I very rarely buy toys that require batteries, I prefer toys that run on imagination, but I am very happy with this purchase. It was a great purchase and not only do I recommend it to others, I have bought it again myself! Seeing my granddaughter had fun with this I asked Revane to send it to my grandson, I know he and his brothers will have a good time.
