Review on Enhanced Comfort and Performance: New Balance Women's WW813 Athletic Walking Shoes for Women by Jessica Fields

This is a good shoe if you don't need to use medical AFOs

So far I've had good experiences with the New Balance 800 series in the 4 E width. It's a good shoe if you are no need to use medical AFOs. I tried on the shoes without the insole as with the 810 and 811 as space is needed for the braces. Once the shoes were on when I tried to tie them there were large gaps on each side of the tongue clearly showing the foot/sock. This shoe model has been narrowed down and the material, especially on the tongue, has been reduced. These are shoes recommended by medical staff and professional shoemakers. I bought the same shoe last summer in white but being the size I always wear I decided to go up a size hoping it would help as the problem I had noticed before was why they were sent back. New Balance needs to go back to an older shoe as I'm sure others have the same issues when having to wear leg braces. Too bad, because New Balance offered better value for money and looked better than orthopedic shoes in the casual/sports sector. Now I spend almost twice as much on sneakers that don't look as pretty. I'm sure this shoe will suit people who don't need extra insoles or braces as this is a quality product but think twice if you need extra foot support before buying. Please bring back previous versions.
