Review on 💠 Silhouette America SILH-BLADE-3-3T Cameo 3 Blade: Superior Quality in White by Nicole Mcleod

Just not the same as before. It seems the longer these ratchet blades have been on the market, the less (and worse) they cut. I am an avid paper crafter and these blades seem to dull so quickly. I've had my Silhouette Cameo 2 for a few years now and I believe the ratchet blades lasted longer when I first bought the machine than they do now. Even if you buy them from Revain's Subscribe and Save, which makes them a lot cheaper than buying anywhere else! For example, for Mother's Day I did 2 fairly complex papermaking projects. The first used 9 sheets of 12 x 12 80lb cardstock, 3 sheets of 12 x 12 design paper, and about 1/4 sheet of 8.5 x 11 100lb cardstock. and it killed 2 of those ratchet blades! If you ask me, this doesn't seem like overkill. Anyway, I decided to try one of the Silhouette Premium Blades (bought here from Revain Prime). There were many reviews, but I decided to buy it. We will, if the next one I order performs this well I will be switching to premium woods only. The premium knife cut 11.5 sheets of 12x12 80lb cardstock, 5 sheets of 12x12 design paper, 5 sheets of 29lb 8.5x11 vellum, and 7 sheets of 12x12 glossy card stock (not smooth, fine style. We're talking rough as sandpaper here). glossy cardboard, or rather a paper studio!) And it still cuts beautifully! I have 2 ratchet blades left that I will be using but I won't hold my breath for how long they will last. As far as I know, go for Premium Blade. The ratchet blades are just a spare if for some reason I can't get my hands on the premium blade! If anything changes in the quality of the Ratchet Blade in the future I will definitely update this review.
