Review on Premium Vital Essentials Vital Cat Freeze-Dried Grain-Free Chicken Mini Nibs Cat Food, 12 oz. for Optimal Feline Health by Melissa Lewis

My cat loves freeze dried food and I decided to try this one. The ingredients look great, but the "grains" look very strange - very hard and shiny. It's unlike any other freeze-dried product we've tried. Even after soaking for 10 minutes, it doesn't really mash like the others we've used, even with extreme exertion (cut each piece, mash hard for 5 minutes). I don't know if I got a bad batch or what. I can't find the expiration date for it anywhere. My cat hates it and so do I. Update: I have contacted Vital Essentials and they have confirmed that the feathers do not dry out despite the packaging saying so. They said they will fix it when they change the package next year. Revain refunded my money - thank you Revain!
