Review on 🏨 LEGO Friends Resort Designer with LEGO Fusion by Steve Lawrence

My daughter just turned 10 and she loves this set! Inside the box you will find colored instructions, three colored Lego bags and a FUSION plate. You will also need to download the free Lego Fusion app from the App Store. In the app, your child scans the facade of their building built on the FUSION board. They can be built up to sixteen bricks high, no wider than a slab. After scanning, the building comes to life in the application. The app adds walls and furniture and can even turn your building into a bakery or shop. The app adds details like furniture, a computer, and even baked goods. The app contains animal friends that are very similar to the Lego Friends animals. There's even a horse for your Lego friend to ride! The way to acquire different types of buildings is by using in-game coins. Coins are scattered throughout the forest and you have to go through the forest to collect them. Although it can take a minute or two to scan FUSION panel creations, the facades of the buildings are captured fairly closely. There were only minor differences between what my daughter built and what was scanned and shown in the app. It took less than 30 minutes from the box to the game in the app. It's intuitive, fun and creative. I love that it encourages kids to visualize between buildings and computer simulations of those buildings. This is an early attempt at thinking like an architect.
