Interesting product. In the good old days, before phones had headphone jacks, there was the Sony MW600. It was a headphone jack with a display and buttons. On board was a microphone and an FM tuner. It was great but I lost both because the clip sucked. Then one day Apple decided to mix things up and remove the headphone jack. I have several audio interfaces for DJing and they work with iPhones. There are quite a few of them for phones, some support USB and some support Bluetooth. But it is also a media player. I hate using iTunes and streaming music apps. This little player plays Flac and other good formats. It simply plays the songs you put on the card. You can choose between card access or placement of the audio interface via the USB-C port in the settings. So this product looks like an iPod nano or an Apple Watch. It's thicker, has USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro SD card slot. It has a plastic clip that snaps in place and feels solid. The product looks and feels good. It can receive Bluetooth, it can also transmit Bluetooth. It supports a lot of codecs, so the sound isn't as crappy as the old Bluetooth. The chunky detail is the touchscreen. It's not as responsive as I'd like, and some of the on-screen buttons are small. Bluetooth is just an "app" and if you quit it and start playing a song, it won't turn on when the phone rings. It can only remember one Bluetooth connection at a time, so you'll have to reset it to switch. The date is shown as "Sun. 17" with no month and year? You can't search within a song. Update, no one can hear me when I make a bluetooth call. The crappy mic could be the culprit if this returns. The bluetooth receiver won't drive always high. Album repeat repeats your entire collection. The sound is better than all the phones and computers I have and better than the tractor interface I have. It may not have enough power if you have big banks, maybe you can buy a powerful amp with a separate player, considering it costs as much as just the interface and does that and more, I can forgive the clunky aspects.
