We used Microsoft's software RAID capabilities to split or combine two NVMe into one formatted drive letter by first placing two sticks on a PCIe card and then placing it in an x8 slot have installed. It's every bit as fast as a 970Pro running on a MB with an OS installed. This completely eliminated the BI camera recording interruption previously encountered when using traditional RAID-10 with 4 WD Red physical drives powered by an expensive RAID controller card. The entire system now uses less power after removing the 4 x 2TB WD Red drives and RAID controller. PLEX is now running smoothly and overall system stability has increased by 1000%.
