This is not a JUMBO. They are small and pose a choking hazard. Do not buy for young children. Good for older toddlers and developing fine motor skills

These are not great lace-up beads for toddlers. You are very small. About the width of a nickel and a quarter. Maybe about 1/2 inch long. I bought these for my daughter to try beads on because she sees my son doing it in occupational therapy and she is trying too. She is 15 months old. Jumbo pearls must be jumbo. The laces are thin, difficult for a child to hold. Beware of parents looking after their younger babies. This is a terrible choking hazard. I don't often worry about my children choking, of course I take precautions, but it's definitely not something I would allow my youngest to do. I can't even sit down and help her because they go straight into her mouth (and she rarely puts things in her mouth). On the other hand, my son now uses them in his occupational therapy and they fit him perfectly. Thin shoelaces are good for fine motor skills training. He is 3 1/2.
