Very bright and easy to use. 12x is much rarer than 10x and is one of the main reasons I chose this model. (I have to remind myself from time to time that no one is looking at me at 12x, LOL!) The only minor thing I wish there was an option and not a fixed function is the touch toggle on and off because it sometimes during use, my hand touches the base and turns it off or dims it. Luckily, there's an easy fix to turning it back on. I'm glad I have an LED now because my others need batteries every now and then.
