I'm all for portability, though.

Well, I confess: I'm a knitting fanatic. knitwear? And I'm ashamed to say that I really spent a lot of time selecting this needle size - one of the indispensable tools in this profession. Of course, this caliber will get the job done. However, it is incredibly thin. I don't think this will be the last this year (well wait until next year as it's already November!) Two things to expect from a dial gauge: A) the ability to measure as many needle gauges as possible measure up. This is achieved, although oddly there is a hole measured only in metrics. I had to google to find out this is the $10.75 gauge and it is a pin, that I have never seen. But now! I have to buy one. B) The gauge should have a small ruler to measure the patterns to ensure the size of the needles and yarn meet the pattern requirements. Traditional standard pattern 4" x 4"; This gauge has a 3 inch rule. what to do with it In my experience, Clover is a better company than this notion suggests. Let's go back to the drawing board.
