I got this because there are many times that I don't want to use one of my 3 battery operated drills to just manipulate screws or nuts and bolts. This is small enough to work in tight spaces where my other drills can't be used. This is perfect as a screwdriver and I see myself using it all of the time instead of my basic screwdrivers which are not powered.This has some nice and welcome features. First of all, I find that the lights on my other drills are not positioned to actually light up a screw head because of the shadows cast by the working end of the drill. Not so with this one. It actually shines an unobstructed light directly on what you need to do, fully visible. The other thing I like about this is the flexible arm which allows you to get into even tighter spaces.The only negative is the drill function. This has a couple drill bits that are designed to insert into the drill, but they are worthless. I tried drilling into a piece of soft pine furring strip and I could not even get a hole started, bearing down as hard as I could. All it did was to make a very small dent in the wood. These two drill bits do absolutely nothing. And since this unit does not have a typical variable chuck, you can't use any typical drill bits. But that is OK with me since I do not or would not intend to use it to drill anything. Its utility is in its small size and ease of handling. And of course, I also like being able to twist the handle to turn it into a straight unit instead of the "pistol" shape.
