The front teeth (with the orange X below) have veneers to keep them from fading, that's the color my teeth started with. The teeth next to it don't have veneers and after going halfway through a tube you can see that they are actually lighter than the original color. HOWEVER, you may need some sort of mouthpiece to keep your mouth open and your cheeks out while you apply the gel and let the gel sit on your teeth for a while (not included). It gets a bit difficult to keep the inside of my mouth from touching all of my teeth, the bottom part can rub off a bit resulting in it not whitening as much as the top teeth. It says to relax your closed mouth after a few minutes, but that means the saliva will mix with the gel and you feel like you have to spit out the salivary bubble mixture that's created when the saliva touches the gel. it feels like it's a little wasted.
