Review on Untangle NG Firewall by Nale Dunn
Good solid Firewall and good support
I like how easy it is to setup rules for specific services/applications with this firewall product - especially when combined wtih other products such as email gateway or VPN provider (such as PIA).
It doesn't have all features but we are happy enough using what's there now! Nothing really atm since they just released NGFW version 2 last month so haven;'t had chance t try yet myself! But from our experience with 1st generation NFGW was slow compared to competitors offerings which were more robust then ours back than even 10 years ago!!
Pros
- Easy Setup
- Good GUI interface
- Can be automated via scripting language in Linux OSes &/or Windows environments if need arises.
- Many options available including customizable rule sets, etc
Cons
- Mostly okay, but...
