I just bought a vintage set from the 70's and don't need the salad plates that came with it. I wanted a salad bowl as that's what I'm used to. I needed a transparent bowl so as not to conflict with and distract from the pattern of the dishes. I looked at a lot of bowls, but then I found this one. These are very simple, transparent shells. They are the perfect size and weight. Not thin at all. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice smooth clear salad bowl.
