It also provides a comfortable grip. Not "slippery" like some hard plastics. I'm just sharing my advice. I know it's just a phone case. I cleaned the phone and case with a glass cleaning cloth (best to clean without scratches/swirls) while wearing gloves. This was only done to prevent fingerprints on the inside of the case and also on the iPhone itself as we all know the sides collect/show fingerprints.
