I was very perplexed by the choice of wheels for the Mondeo 4 (205/60 R16 as opposed to the advised 205/55) in preparation for the arrival of winter. The once-favorite Nordfrost 100 cannot be found during the day with fire, Nordmans from Nokian have already let me down with noise and protruding spikes, and other options (such as Pirelli or Hakki 9) were intimidated by price or conflicting reviews. The inability to locate clear results of comparison tests conducted by any vehicle journals where these wheels would participate made the decision to adopt this specific model challenging. I believe that having multiple viewpoints will aid someone in making the best decision, thus I will share my observations: After two months and roughly 3000 kilometres, the car's wheels are now mounted. The installation went without a hitch, and there were no issues with the studding's quality (everything is uniform and nothing stands out at an angle). The tire is clearly more comfortable than the summer tire I rode to the tire fitting business, however the unrolled spikes give the impression of rolling in motion for the first few kilometers before going away completely after around 350 kilometers. Meanwhile, acoustic comfort has not advanced. Regarding the tire's ability to grip after running in, acceleration is assured and forceful even on slushy snow, and yaw, particularly when the stabilization system is used, is barely perceptible. Although the brakes are excellent on all sorts of surfaces and can drag several meters in deep snow before the ABS sounds, you must realize that driving in either the winter or the spring is foolish. This technology doesn't hinder performance in other driving circumstances, indicating that the wheels' capabilities are adequate. Although the hour has not yet come, I would like to provide some information on wear resistance and my experience with counting spikes in the spring. To summarize, I'll say that these tires are unlikely to be suitable for someone who enjoys vigorous driving that involves lane changes and rapid braking. This model is a good bet for those who need to feel at ease behind the wheel when traveling through cities and on highways, especially when they stick closely to price ranges.
