Review on 🧵 Sashiko Notions: Hidamari Sashiko Needles with Convenient Needle Threader by Lori Aguirre

I tossed between several different brands and ended up ordering, one of the reasons was that the gold eyes help distinguish Sashiko needles from others so I don't mix them up randomly. So far I've only used the shortest one to embroider jeans, but I've been impressed with the sharpness and strength of the needle. The eyelet is large enough to (with a bit of technique) thread a full 6-ply embroidery thread through the eyelet. The included needle threader is a joke, as are most needle threaders (at least in my hands), and I tore it up the first time I tried to use it. He and the needle eyes just aren't compatible with double stranded floss, I can't imagine it holding up too well against Sachiko's strands. I want the beautiful gold around the eyes to be more durable. Frayed after 60 stitches. The denim material run through was apparently abrasive enough, the gold was just a nod to its former self so I had to carefully repackage the needle to keep it separate from the others. Overall the needle worked well and I recommend it if you are looking for good, thick and strong needles. The diversity pack is great for choosing what works best for your project.
