Review on Ambient Bathroom Lighting with Decorative Filament by James Newbill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Plastic plus is enough as a reading lamp!

This is exactly what I needed. Another review mentioned that there is enough light for reading and I can confirm that there is. on each side of the bed. They had to be screwed fairly tightly into the base before they would turn on/make enough contact. It looks whimsical, just how I wanted it, and there's enough light for bedtime reading. The fact that they're plastic is probably a plus - it doesn't detract from their aesthetics in any way (and if it were a glass bulb 1. I wouldn't want it open and over my bed 2. It would be too heavy to put a gooseneck on place and most likely he would fall down). It also doesn't generate heat (as expected). I just installed them so can't comment on durability or anything at this point but they are LEDs and will likely last a long time. I added a video trying to accurately capture the amount of light emitted by a single bubble in a completely dark room.

Pros
  • energy saving lamp. Enjoy soft light while saving money on your electricity bills. An ideal replacement for an incandescent lamp, this low 3W (25W equivalent) stained glass lamp uses less electricity.
Cons
  • socket required
