About two weeks ago I posted a similar review on the Think Tank website for the PhotoCross 13 backpack. I'm really surprised that Think Tank didn't post this; I emailed Think Tank and was told my feedback had been received and was "pending". I gave the bag four stars but was critical of the three design options. First is the cushioning of the straps. I carried this bag with a Nikon Z6, a Nikkor 70-200 VRII f2.8 lens, a 70-300 Nikkor VR FX Zoom and a 24-70 Nikkor S lens to the local zoo. My first gripe was that I was surprised at how uncomfortable the straps became after about an hour; I remembered wearing my BackLight 18L for 6 hours earlier in the Grand Canyon and felt no discomfort from the straps with the extra gear. Z-Packs is a great additional strap pad that I have used before; I ordered a pair for this backpack. My second point was the handle on the top of the pack and on the side panel, which I think should be padded. I bought neoprene padded velcro handles designed for luggage to help with this. My third, minor point was that I thought the side panel of a single zippered backpack would be better if there were two zippers. There is nothing special here, it would only be more convenient. I really like the bag as its size is suitable for many purposes. I've made this review better for the sake of a future version. I am a long time user of Think Tank and BackLight and I find their products to be top notch. For reasons I don't understand, Think Tank didn't publish it, so I decided to publish it here.
