Terrible fabric - handle with care
The fabric is such a nuisance, especially because it's a dark colour. The intersections of the squares are strong enough, but there is thread on each side of the square so you can easily get caught on the thread rather than the square itself. Especially when working with a dark color you want the intersections to be clear and easy to see so they don't come out shaky and jagged. I wouldn't recommend this at all, you're better off paying a little more for something that's done right and easy to use.
