I've tried a few hens before this one and I prefer this one because 1) it smells less "earthy" than others I've tried. less like wet grass and dirt and more like matcha green tea (when dry), more like "spinach green tea" when steeped in hot water. 2) it's a fairly smooth powder with fewer twigs and wheat-like particles, and 3) at the end of the process it not only adds a bit of color but also thickens my hair and gives new life to my curls. I rarely use the overnight wait method. or a long absence just because I forget to plan ahead and don't always have much free time. The product still leaves me with a beautiful reddish chestnut glow and I love that it's made from natural ingredients. I bought a cheap plastic spice bottle and cut off the spout to make dispensing the henna potion easier (wearing gloves, of course). I also add some coconut oil to the mix to help with conditioning. I have been using this product for almost two years. Happy henna coloring!
