Good bowls, trouble with lids

Bowls come in a variety of sizes, from very small to roomy, and are attractive with thin stripe trims; They are also hot oven safe which is good for making crumbs etc. The lids are a nice color but I find them hard and a bit difficult to push open - I often turn the bowl and lid upside down so the lid is pressed onto the counter as this helps the lid close. But I can't make it with all of the contents, and the lids pop off in places anyway, so while the bowl is still covered, it's certainly not airtight or entirely safe. This is odd as similar products with or without a rim have lids that slide on easily and stay in place. If secure lids are important to you and/or you have arthritis or weakness in your hands, you should consider purchasing the Pyrex range instead, although the Pyrex range of bowls starts and ends with a larger size than Duralex (a argument for Duralex, for my purposes).
