This is my fourth kettle in over a dozen years. My first two were "famous brands" and my last one, like this one, wasn't. I use this device at least 3 times a day, every day and sometimes more so it becomes a workout. The truth is, they just don't last that long. So if I can get at least two good years out of this little beauty at that price, I'm fine. Update: Two good years? I didn't even get the full one! I'm about 11 months old and he passed out on me! I should now have their one year warranty so I applied per the company's instructions and even received an email confirmation of my application. But it's been a few weeks and still nothing. It's a shame because I really liked this teapot. Second update: good news! I didn't give up and wrote back to the company asking why I hadn't heard anything since the first confirmation. They IMMEDIATELY replied to this email and after that it was very easy to provide them with the information they needed to fill out my application. And after a few weeks I received my brand new replacement boiler. That's customer service! Thank you Ovente! You now have my full 5 star recommendation!
