Review on πŸŽ’ BOSTANTEN Leather Laptop Backpack Purse: Casual College Bag Daypack in Brown by Julia Bhatt

Looks great, quality might not be worth the price

I really wanted to LOVE this bag. I love the look and got a lot of compliments on it. Here are some issues that prevented me from giving this 4 or 5 stars.1. Durability: I've bought some fairly durable bags from Revain for about half the price of this bag (I paid $78). Compared to these bags, the durability of this bag is disappointing. The material isn't that thick, the straps are definitely not that thick. I wonder how long it takes for something to pop or break at the seams. It's also "thinner" so it doesn't hold its shape as well as I'd like. Of course I pack my bag. 2nd Place: On the one hand, I'll admit that it probably fits more than it looks. On the other hand, it's a narrow bag, so not everything fits in it. I can fit a 15" laptop, charger/cables, a medium sized Bible, 2 folders and a small makeup bag. Also, I had to get creative to add side pockets to this narrow front pocket. #1 makes the bag too hard to stuff as it doesn't have much bounce, but it has enough bounce (and not enough stiffness) that it just doesn't look as good when over-stuffed. (Note: I'm 5ft so the photo can help you get an idea of the size of the bag) 3. Side pockets: They're pretty much useless. They will NOT fit in a water bottle unless you fit a very shallow narrow bottle. I put in a thin battery and a pack of Chlorox wipes. that's pretty much all there is to it. I *love* the front pocket. The "strap" does not have a locking mechanism to keep it in place. So if you stuff it too tight, it just stays open. The workaround is to put things closer to the ground. Cozy. but not practical unless you want to lose things that might be dangling off the top. 4. Color: Several reviews have commented that it's yellow rather than white/white/beige. It looks great from afar. But if you're expecting more white, be prepared to find it on the yellower side. Comfort: It's not that comfortable once you've stuffed it full and weighed it down with a laptop/charger. There is no padding at all and the straps are, as we said, thin which adds to the discomfort. I don't use public transport, so I can carry it from the parking lot to the office and to meetings, but I doubt it will be a practical bag for long journeys. Comfort and durability will most likely be an issue. Material: I doubt it's real leather, although the company claims it is. The skin cannot be felt and does not smell of leather. I don't mind that it's not real leather. I've had some pretty cool, very durable and attractive vegan faux leather passenger/laptop bags that look and feel the same as expensive and durable Saffiano leather. I don't mind that it's not real leather. but I don't mind the apparent lack of solidity and lack of "shape" and "strength". All in all, you spend a lot of money on the look of this bag. I didn't see a bag similar to this one so I kept it. Currently I'm not sure if it's worth the money. but because of its unique appearance. I will update this review if anything changes.
