Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Faraday Bag for Complete Cell Phone & Car Key Fob Protection - Prevents Tracking, Cloning, Hacking, and Car Theft by Kevin Hawkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works mostly

Tests on an Android phone (using MD Faraday Bag Tester, like another reviewer) have shown that this bag generally works, but is only most successful when well closed (see below ). Blocks Bluetooth and cellular coverage indoors even though I have my BT earbuds on. It also blocks most of the Wi-Fi signal, up to 60dB, it just didn't work for me in close proximity to the signal source, probably due to the fact that the packaging wasn't fully sealed. The average overall shielding is about 40 dB, depending on the signal strength from different sources. So I get slightly better results than some of the more negative reviews. Also, I only get an average cellular signal in my area. Tested and working on multiple FOB vehicles, both old school (with button) and keyless (model years 2011-2018). Also works with FOB Home Security. I haven't tried RFID key card or credit card. By design, the magnet and roll velcro closure work relatively well. Suitable for Pixel 4 and Samsung Galaxy 21S - you can squeeze them but they fit snugly. Suitable for phones with a thicker body. The reason I mentioned that the differences are most likely due to the sealing is that if I close the Velcro and do another roll (perhaps with a Pixel 4 in a case that's just under 6 inches tall and 1/2 is), 100% success, even in the line of sight of a modern dual-band WiFi router, but you'll need to use tape or some sort of clip to keep it that way. For the price it's definitely better than the cardboard lined tin and works better than I expected. However, if you have valuable assets, you might want to consider switching to something with a more secure grip. Screenshots: 1 - indoors, away from wifi behind multiple walls; schedule, BT returned briefly in this one); 3/4 - outside deck, behind a wifi wall (attempt #4 was better with velcro); 5 - in sight; 6 - Indoors around the corner from Wi-Fi; 7 - line of sight wifi, with dual role (see above).
