Rugged outer jacket between connector and pair separation channel element β A tough but strong cable. The internal pairs are indeed a good 23 AWG, which is great for carrying more POE DC power and less signal attenuation. To be clear, this is an outer aluminum foil shield with a ground wire. Individual pairs are not shielded. There's no water-resistant gel, but it's easier to work with for those familiar with OSP cables. When properly wired and connected, CAT6 cable will pass 550MHz signals for attenuation, crosstalk and SNR to name a few. Solid 1 Gbps for our project. This is a good quality retail cable which is excellent value for money and was delivered to us by Revain quickly and on time for the project intended. CAT approved. All we can say is that running the cable through standard penetrations that did not exceed the maximum stress showed that the cable was strong. We can't tell how well it holds up to prolonged UV exposure or water infiltration without durability testing or water immersion, but the cable construction is of good quality.
