sounds good! for radios

This little ghetto blaster sounds great for its package size. TUNER: I like the digital PLL tuner. He's connected to the station and the signals are pretty strong. (although for some reason the signal weakens when charging.) External antennas are also absent. I'm glad they stayed away from the analog tuner. they are uncomfortable. SOUND QUALITY/VOLUME: Front-facing stereo speakers provide clear mids/trebles, while a single rear woofer provides adequate bass response and transient clarity. The woofer is offset to one side, which ruins the stereo image, but you won't notice it unless it's pointed straight at your face. The volume control seems unusual. from "20" it starts to distort, but is probably intended for weak signals. I wish there was a dedicated analog volume control, instead you have to hold down the < or > key to enter "volume change" mode. You can press the buttons to make finer adjustments, or hold them down to change the volume significantly. I believe the volume is a digitally controlled analog knob but I haven't tested it. works very well. The only thing that confuses me is the auto mute on loss of signal. It's too aggressive for my liking and can be annoying when a faint signal is heard (rather annoying than static?) CONNECTIVITY: There's a USB-C port, which looks like a power-only port. There is a USB-A port that can be used to power another device (even while charging!). It's not clear if any of the ports can connect to a flash drive or a computer. (and I haven't tried it yet) There is a micro SD card slot that I haven't tried. I assume it can play mp3 and wav files (and hopefully ogg/flac files?). I hope he can record from the radio but I have no idea. My radio didn't come with an owner's manual. NO ANALOG IN/OUT. This really annoyed me, I was hoping/expecting there would be 3.5mm headphone jacks and line inputs. but they are not. it sucks. well, it's pretty cool in every way, and it's definitely worth $30-$40, especially if you want a loud boombox that's still small enough to attach to a backpack or even a belt loop (maybe?). hang. Supposedly it's "waterproof", but I wouldn't submerge it in the pool. although probably splash/rain proof. If the same company makes a larger version with more connectivity/features I will definitely buy it. This will probably have a permanent place in my backpack.
