This (so light) ramp is comfortable to hold as long as you don't touch the no-slip non-slip surface. I reached into the box to pull it out, and my thumb bled as I uttered the curses. However, I see the benefits of using a ramp with my older dog and the weight carrying and storage factor is great. After modifying the no-slip surface by coating it with an extra thick Gorilla Grip shelf liner, my oldest child's paws are protected. I'm so happy he cut me first so I could make changes. I'll update this review after we've used it for a bit. UPDATE Immediately after I wrote this, my eldest had a health emergency that resulted in him having to visit the vet multiple times. It's too heavy to lift and carrying was out of the question. I'm so thankful I had this ramp. It worked great when we needed it most. Changed to 4.5 stars as it would be useless without the shelf insert.
