Can a unicorn brush be magical? It smells like happiness and cleans your fibers fantastically. I bought my first raw fleece to learn and understand the process of turning fibers from messy wool into handspun yarn. The wool was from Lincoln sheep (very curly and almost like doll's wool in consistency) and was packed in a box that smelled like a barn. The fur was VERY oily. I put the fleece in a very large underwear bag and left the fleece in very hot water + scrub for about an hour? Tons of dirt and rough stuff came out and the locks immediately felt a lot better, even though they were still soapy and damp. I soak the fleece in warm, clean water for 20 minutes and wait until the bag is completely empty. Then I put the bag in the washing machine and lay out the curls to dry. The clean curls were ethereal after drying, they are so soft and not a hint of grease. 10/10 I also used a unicorn loofah to clean the dog hair before spinning. In this case, I can compare Scour to Dawn dishwashing liquid, and Unicorn dishwashing liquid wins by a wide margin. The first batch of dog hair I washed with Don for a friend and my dogs getting upset about it is the understatement of the year. Even after a few soaks and rinses in Breaking Dawn, dogs would totally lose their shit if clean fur was everywhere they could see or smell it. It smelled nice to me, but it was clear my dogs thought I was starting the Cruella de Vil career or bringing home a bunch of new boring dogs they didn't like. a batch of "cleaned" dog hair from a first friend and a new second batch from a dog that really needed a bath. After being cleaned with a soak of the unicorn brush, the dogs stopped caring about one of the dogs' fur. I can comb and spin it in my living room while my dogs sleep next to me without worrying about the world. So! If you want to spin souvenirs for your friends but don't want your dogs to have nightmares about you wearing them instead of a coat, a unicorn ramble is your friend!
