It works well for everything except a USB connection to a projector.

I am using a film editing interface. So please use an adapter to connect SFDC card, USB mouse and external hard drive. Everything works very well. What I like about this adapter, apart from the fact that it works, it fits very well thanks to the double plugs and cannot be easily separated unintentionally. I used flexible wire for my work surface and I don't like it because it dangles and then comes off easily. What I haven't found is streaming movies via Amazon or Netflicks to a projector via USB for watching movies outdoors. This could be a problem with netflicks/amazon, I've seen others comment on it that way. I'll probably buy the same design that has an HDMI port for my projector.
