Review on ๐ŸŒˆ Enhanced Lighting Experience: Globe Electric Equivalent Multicolor Activated Solution by Vera Lewis

Pretty good overall

This is really cool, the colors are a great bonus for temperature/brightness control. I also like that I can group lights and control multiple bulbs as a set. There are just a few things I wish they could improve: 1) 750 lumens isn't that bright. Even with three of them at max brightness, my living room still feels a bit dark. I would really like to see a 1000+ lumen version. 2) The lowest brightness setting still seems too bright, much higher than dimming an incandescent bulb or some other dimmable LEDs. For a theatrical feel, much lower dimming needs to be considered. I wish this could be fixed with a firmware update please! 3) I'm not sure how accurate the color temperatures are. Their 2700K looks a bit more orange than the other warm 2700K bulbs in the room, and the 5000K is less bright and blue than my kitchen lights. It's not a huge difference, but enough to be a little annoying because it doesn't match the temperature of existing dumb lightbulbs. 4) The app is pretty easy to use, but there are some frustrating issues. The brightness and temperature settings can only be adjusted via the sliders, which is incredibly annoying when trying to set the exact value, especially when the slider jumps when you take your finger off the screen. You should have sliders attached to the input field so that you can optionally manually enter a specific numeric value. It also wouldn't hurt to have a setting that optionally allows binding to increase steps. Likewise, the color wheel selector has trouble setting accurate values and somehow has to enter the color value manually. 3.5 stars overall so far, but I'm rounding up to 4 as problems with the app can easily be fixed in an update.

Pros
  • EASY SETUP - NO HUB REQUIRED: Just download the GLOBE SUITE app, connect to your home WiFi and sync the bulb. Connect using a 2.4GHz network connection, then switch back to a 5GHz connection if that's better for your home.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
