Makes the playground as comfortable as a cot

I am very satisfied with this play and packing mattress. My baby sleeps in a pack and plays in my room. I really hate the pathetic "mattress" that comes with it, I don't see how anyone can be comfortable on it. I used to cover blankets with sheets to make them softer, but I wanted to find a real solution to the problem. The innerspring package and play mattress didn't have the best reviews, so I chose these. I was hesitant before ordering that it would be too soft for a 4 month old baby (safety hazard) but decided to order it to be sure. There was a slight smell from the packaging, but that quickly dissipated. I also like that the cover can be removed for washing. (Admittedly, since putting the sheet on top of the mattress I haven't had to, I'm washing the sheet right now.) In terms of softness, this mattress is perfect. It adds just the right amount of padding, but now it's "soft". My baby sleeps on his stomach and when I first saw him sleeping on this mattress nothing was inflated over his airway. It always stays perfectly flat. I would say it's like a hard mattress. It also fits in my backpack and plays really tight so I'm not worried about it getting stuck in any gaps. Packaging manufacturers always warn against adding extra padding due to the risk of choking and SIDS. I was aware of this because my child was only 4 months old at the time. However, this mattress provides a firm enough sleeping surface that I'm comfortable on, while still being comfortable enough for my child to sleep on. I would definitely recommend this mattress to anyone.
