Review on πŸš— FH Group FB051BLACK102 Car Seat Cover Set - Black, Airbags Compatible (Pack of 2) by Brian Samuel

Poor quality but great price

My mother has Cover King seat covers for her car and my little brother has regular seat covers for his car. The Cover King set is definitely of excellent quality, especially the mechanisms that hold the seat covers in place. However, normal cases still work great. Since they're a tenth the cost of Cover King, I decided to get a universal set. And after a month and a half and some additional tweaks, I'm happy with my decision. I will say frankly that the FH-FB051115 is neither perfect nor ideal. However, I will give FH Group some leniency for the unconventional seats in my 2011 Honda Fit Sport car. There will be some creases and looseness, especially on the headrest and rear seat covers. This is where Cover King has a bigger advantage: They use a combination of straps, clips, hooks and Velcro, placed in the most convenient and effective positions. FH-FB051115 only attaches to the seats with straps, elastic bands, loops and additional clips, making the fit narrower. I couldn't figure out how to use the extra clamps effectively, so I completely eliminated them in my particular setup. In addition, belts and tires can tear off if they are pulled too hard and too fast. I really suggest taking things slow, stretching things out. More specifically to the somewhat flimsy fit, the headrest covers just aren't the right shape for the Honda Fit covers. I was able to stretch and pocket them for a rough comparison, which I think turned out great, but is still nowhere near the factory set strength. However, FH-FB051115 is not 100% compatible with Honda Fit seats. The most notable incompatibilities relate to seat belt buckles and how Magic Seats work. It's just that you can't tuck in where the buckles are because there aren't any small gaps for the fabric to fit. This is even more evident with magic seats, as their use weakens the seat covers. Maybe a buckle cutout could help, but I don't want to make any permanent changes. That's why I even did without the armrest. I made slots for holes for the headrests, but they were small and easy to hide. Despite my complaints, I'm very happy with how the FH-FB051115 looks in my car, especially considering the low price. Check out the photos I've uploaded and you'll see how well they go together. If you sit down and take them off a few days later, the fit will loosen up, but there's nothing a quick refueling can't fix. Unfortunately, the way it interacts with the Magic Seats doesn't suit me at all. In their normal position, the FH-FB051115 look great on Magic Seats, but additional steps of zipping and re-stowing are now required to fold them up and down. At least the Magic Seats keep their function, but I will probably replace the backrest with a Cover King. At the moment I like FH-FB051115 externally.
