Best windshield mount radar detector I have ever bought. I had several radar detectors. Most of them came with two small suction cup mounts. The latter had a heavy black rubber suction cup with a lever to turn the suction cup on. Only works on hot days. I live in the mountains at 9200 feet, the days are colder than the heat. I bought a nice hard mirror mount for my daily driver, but now I occasionally set up a second car that I don't want to mount a mirror mount on. The suction cup is made of transparent, soft silicone and works as long as the windshield is clean. It works on cold days, warm days, hot days. Also, a hinge rotates and locks in place with a simple thumbscrew.
