It says they can be used for essential oils. DO NOT BUY ESSENTIAL OILS! I filled them with doTERRA's custom oil blends for shipping on customer orders, after a week of filling these bottles and sitting in the crate without moving, each bottle of citrus oil not only leaked but the lids stopped working entirely . I lost $75 worth of oil. So played around but glad I didn't give them to customers. All of my blends that contain bergamot, lemon, orange, green tangerine, lime and grapefruit don't even have screw tops. I just made a blend that didn't contain any of these, so other oils can do the same. It's important to note that the lids were tight when I originally packed them.
