Not required. First, we only got two of these when we bought four. And then they won't stay in place unless you screw them into the ground. We wanted temporary speed bumps for our area during the warmer months/seasons; so that nothing can be hit. Every time a car drives over it, the sides pop out. Rather disappointing.
