This bulb is amazing! The shape of the beehive alone and the sepia-colored glass with a long thread inside make a statement. You shouldn't put it in a fixture or lamp, it should stand on its own. When it's lit, it's even more wonderful! The filament wiggles a bit, adding even more completeness to the illusion that it's actually hot. It gives off a nice warm glow and isn't too bright to look directly into. On the other hand, it will not serve as the only light source. It complements other room lighting, but does not replace it. Every situation is different, but our solution is to turn on our adjustable kitchen lights to illuminate the dining area. I still give 5 stars because I think it's made that way. If it were bright enough to light up an entire room, then it would be too bright to look at. That's better, but I'm trying to give you the full picture. I am very happy that I bought it and can only recommend it! Also, it's great value for money - I was expecting to pay $100 or more, which is 1/3 of that amount! Wow!
