Review on ๐Ÿ”ช 2 Pack Stainless Steel Harperton Nail Clippers Set: Professional Fingernail & Toenail Clippers for Thick Nails by Tamara Simpson

Typical drugstore nail clippers are much better

I just tried the larger Harperton nail clippers along with the typical drugstore nail clippers that I have been using and drugstore nail clippers are much easier to use and more effective. The main problem seems to be the poor geometry of the Harperton nail clippers. Specifically, although the width is the same, drugstore clippers have: (1) a longer lever arm; 70mm versus 60mm for Harperton; (2) 21mm throw to the point where the blades meet, compared to Harperton's 11mm throw; and (3) a 3mm blade opening compared to Harperton's 2mm blade opening, making it much easier to use the drugstore clipper around nails that have some degree of curvature that virtually all nails have. sound right, on two clips I heard a kind of deep beep during the clip that just didn't sound right. During my fingernail versus toenail clipping comparison session today, I found that pharmacy clippers are: (a) easier to position on each nail; (b) far less effort was required to cut; and (c) produced cleaner cuts. Switching between the Harperton and the regular drugstore clipper was actually a pleasure using the drugstore clipper compared to the Harperton. Harperton isn't even close. Apologies if my review contradicts 98% of the non-one star reviews. I'm an engineer and I'm basing my evaluation on differences in geometry and real-world experience. What else can I say?
