I prefer cotton bedding. Sheets and pillowcases are easy to find, but bedspreads are another matter entirely. Difficult to find good cotton bedspreads which is the hardest to find. But that's the real deal. The tops and bottoms are crafted from cotton and the block patchwork print morphs into a darkened, almost smoky royal blue. The pack also includes two quilted blue pillowcases, giving you a fully matching duvet set. The picture is not 100% accurate. The bedspread/quilt is the cyan, cream, and navy block print/patchwork I mentioned earlier. Pillowcases are the same smoky blue. The duvet (which I use as my only duvet most nights) is light but warm. I cope well with this blanket alone in a room with a temperature of 60-65 degrees. The ceiling washes up like a dream. I just put in a front loader (very large capacity) and washed it. It came out of the washing machine almost dry and a quick spin in the dryer did it. If there were clotheslines near me, I would hang them up to dry. It looked like new except that it no longer had the creases it had gotten in the plastic bag while it was being shipped and the faint chemical smell was gone. I'm exceptionally picky about scents and my daughter brushed aside what I found too strong. All in all, the bedspread is perfect for people who overheat during their sleep but still need some kind of coverlet to get through the chilly hours before waking up. This one was well made, attractive enough and very comfortable.
