Review on 🐾 Optimized Flap Assembly for Pride Pet Doors by Holly Garcia

I have had a Petsafe door in my home for 15 years. The replacement shield was Model No. L-VA-11. I have replaced this valve with a Petsafe product many times. Since I last replaced it, Petsafe has discontinued this product. I did a little research and bought this valve to try it out without having to replace the whole door. It was the perfect match. The only differences are: 1. It is black rubber instead of amber transparent rubber. This caused some confusion for my dog and it took him a few days to get used to the new door (he's old and doesn't like change very much) but he figured it out and it's working great.2. This is a heavier and thicker rubber than the Petsafe version. Let me repeat that it fits perfectly and I'm surprised that I actually think it's the best product. In conclusion I am very happy with this purchase and believe that the Pride replacement product is actually superior to the Petsafe product it replaced.
