Underpowered. Not 50 lb in my case.
I had a 41 pound suckling pig and reasonably well balanced with counter weights. Not perfect but very close to balanced and this motor would not handle it. Please do a test run with yours BEFORE the day of your BBQ. The motor functions with with lower weight, I did a 25 pound porcetta a few weeks back, but would not handle the 41 pound (hanging weight) even when balanced.
- I keep on ordering this item coz it works perfect for my rotisserie machines that I make..
- The on/off switch of the motor is located in an inconvenient position, making it difficult to turn on and off during use
