Review on πŸ•οΈ Optimized Ultralight Tent Stakes by Coghlan's by Matthew Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Inexpensive, high quality

Advantages:* Inexpensive - buy a lot New tent and parasol. I angled them properly for loading so I don't know how they would hold up if you just rammed them straight into the ground, but with the right angle they worked really well. I've tried them on soft forest loam and sandy (hard) camping, as well as regular hard ground. In any case, they withstood strong (but not gale-force) winds (there was also protection from the trees in the clay, so it was less extreme). They're easy to pull out - if one gets stuck, simply thread the other through the loop and use. as a pen. I've seen a few fly out of the hard ground in a slight arc at them, but I've hammered and shot them in, not stopped them just because they hit a rock. They can still be used. They are inexpensive, lightweight and small enough to take with you when camping.
